In the Vittorio Veneto countryside, not far from where Danilo Poser was born and raised, a small space was rented: this is where Falmec was founded.

Falmec's beginnings are linked to kitchen cookers, joined shortly afterwards by the first hoods.

From a happy intuition of Danilo, in addition to wood-burning stoves, Falmec began to produce the first furnishing hoods in hammered copper: a material that went well with the wooden kitchens of the time.

The cooker hoods began to be successful right from the start, so much so that the small Falmec grew rapidly, also in terms of copper cooker hood production.

The development process of new models is also promoted and realised thanks to the synergy with kitchen manufacturers who increasingly feel the need for customised products. The hood becomes a characterising element and the centrepiece of the kitchen.

These years have been the real launching moment for this enterprise. The acceleration is unstoppable. Add to that the strong sense of teamwork: everyone who joined the company felt an active part of that process, took pride in it and could only give their best. Falmec reinterprets the hood shape. These are the years in which some of the most representative models in its history come to light. Astra was born, whose clean, harmonious design would become iconic over the years.

And then Mantello, a resounding success in its essentiality.

Steel is now the main material, but Falmec has the audacity to experiment with polyurethane and glass as well. The stylistic research arrives at unconventional forms with the launch of models such as Conchiglia, in polyurethane, and Corolla in glass.

In 2000, the new Falmec headquarters was inaugurated, built with modern and innovative logic, which would be expanded in the following years with new buildings connected by overhead walkways.

At the same time, expansion abroad began with the opening of commercial branches and distribution agreements at an international level with the opening of the German subsidiary: the first of a series.

Falmec has always been in step with the times: the Mirabilia range hoods immediately intercepted the trend of the ‘multifunctional’ product: a hood that extracts, illuminates and furnishes the living room.

Falmec research arrives at controlled bipolar ionisation, an exclusive technology that recreates the optimal ionic balance in the environment. With the Silence NRS system, noise reduction and power optimisation translate into multiple benefits for the quality of life in the home. Even the shape of the hood evolves in line with the latest innovations.

Parallel to the technological evolution, an increasingly advanced aesthetic research continues, thanks to the collaboration with designers that allow the company to obtain the first design awards.

At the same time, the company's international presence is being strengthened, increasingly establishing itself as a leading brand in quality kitchen aspiration.

Falmec launches the Bellaria project, transferring its know-how on air treatment into a new product designed for the living world.

2019
In May 2019, Korean director Bang Joon-ho celebrated winning the Palme d'Or at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival for ‘Parasite’, a major film that won four Oscars, a Golden Globe, as well as 20 other international awards and nominations. There are numerous scenes from the film set in the kitchen, where two Falmec models, Lumen Isola and Altair, feature prominently.

From a small craft business in the Treviso area, Falmec has become a a reference brand in the international market that can now count on 7 branches on the European continent: the United Kingdom, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Estonia and Denmark. In addition, the company enjoys a partnership with a major distributor for the Korean market.

2020
The technological search for effective filter solutions continues: Circle.Tech represents a major breakthrough that enables the creation of compact, high-performance vacuum cleaner solutions. From this new technological heart, models such as Dama, Sophie and Spazio are born: a concept of integrated suction in a multifunctional architectural structure. A winning idea, which allows Falmec to win the Compasso d'Oro in 2020: the most coveted and prestigious design award in the world.

Trends in the kitchen are changing, and so is the world of extraction, towards increasingly invisible solutions integrated into the kitchen structure.
