Archiproducts Design Awards 2024: Falmec wins the International Design Award with Brooklyn
Falmec has just celebrated the 9th edition of the ADA Archiproducts Design Awards 2024, the prestigious award that recognises excellence in world design.
The multi-disciplinary jury, made up of the most authoritative international Architects, Designers and Creative Directors, annually selects, evaluates and awards the most innovative creations, resulting from a perfect balance between aesthetics, functionality and innovation. Thanks to these features, the prize was awarded to
Brooklyn, a suction modular system of the Elements collection designed by Francesco Lucchese for Falmec.
Previewed at the Salone di Milano 2024, Brooklyn features a bridge structure, Brooklyn makes it possible to increase the space on the island, enriching it with the prestige of black satin aluminium and smoked glass. Technology is hidden within the design: the brushless motor guarantees powerful and silent suction. The removable veil increases the capacity of capturing vapours. The system consists of a hood module and accessory storage modules. Functions can be operated with touch controls, or remotely with radio control or with the exclusive Dialogue System integrated in Falmec hobs.
Brooklyn perfectly suits the new
‘Beyond the shape’ concept that has characterised all the prototypes presented by Falmec at
EuroCucina FTK 2024 as novelties 2025.
Beyond the shape, in fact, describes how time shapes the future by transforming it into needs and wishes that are constantly changing. This is how the concept of design pushes itself beyond shape to integrate and enrich the architecture of our living spaces. Falmec now presents a new direction for kitchen extraction, with its invisible design that becomes an integral part of each modular and multifunctional kitchen project:
a groundbreaking approach that opens boundaries and amplifies creative opportunities for architects and designers.
